Sensified Granted U.S. Patent for URI/NFC Technology Enabling Zero-Touch Final-Mile Temperature Logging

Sensified has been granted another U.S. patent covering core technology behind our final-mile and direct-to-patient temperature monitoring platform.
The patent protects our URI/NFC-based approach to temperature logging, which allows shipment data to be securely retrieved with a simple tap of a smartphone. This capability is foundational to Sensified’s sender-centric workflow, where the burden of data access is removed from the recipient entirely.
Traditional temperature loggers, including USB-based devices, assume the recipient has the time, tools, and technical comfort to manually retrieve data. In clinical trials and other regulated cold-chain workflows, that assumption often breaks down, particularly in last-mile and direct-to-patient scenarios.
Sensified’s approach is different. Temperature data is collected, structured, and made available through the platform in a way that is simple and secure, without requiring any action beyond a tap from the recipient. This design improves data integrity, supports auditability, and reduces operational friction at the most failure-prone point in the cold chain.
This patent reflects more than two years of focused engineering work and reinforces Sensified’s long-term commitment to building a defensible, reliable platform for clinical trial and pharmaceutical logistics.
