At-Home Diagnostic Test Kits

Monitor Temperature on Every Returned Test Kit

As direct-to-consumer (DTC) health testing grows, so do the challenges of ensuring sample integrity from the patient’s home to your lab. Warm mailboxes, weekend delays, and passive packaging failures can silently compromise results—and profits.

With Sensified.io, you can track temperature on every test kit that matters.

Why Sensified

  • Protect sample integrity – Instantly detect temperature excursions on returned kits
  • Reduce retesting & waste – Flag compromised samples before processing
  • Deliver better experiences – Share temperature compliance with your customers
  • Automate QA workflows – Integrate with your lab systems or partner network
  • Stay compliant – HIPAA-ready data trail for every test result

Built for Sensitive Diagnostics

Sensified tags are ideal for test kits that depend on stable transit conditions. From hormone panels to microbiome samples, we help you avoid false results and costly retesting.

Use cases include:

  • Hormone & cortisol testing
  • Microbiome & RNA assays
  • Genetic & epigenetic tests
  • Employer & population health programs
  • Clinical trials & pharma kits

How It Works

  1. Tag your return kits – Include a Sensified tag (NFC, Bluetooth, or QR) in each return package
  2. Scan on receipt – Lab staff or patients scan the tag with a phone—no app needed
  3. Verify compliance – Our cloud platform checks if the sample stayed within temperature limits
  4. Get visibility – View batch compliance, generate audit logs, or attach certificates to results

Designed for the Realities of At-Home Kit Logistics

At-home diagnostic kits are often prepacked, shrink-wrapped, and shelved for long periods—sometimes up to two years—before being shipped to customers. That’s where the Seguro 150 excels. With a battery life of over two years, it can remain actively logging throughout the kit’s entire lifecycle. Our next-generation tag, launching later this year, will extend that to three years or more, making it ideal for long shelf-life deployments.

When the return shipping label is packed with the kit, our integration with carriers allows them to automatically associate the tag with the shipment. This enables us to trim the temperature log to just the return journey, giving you clean, actionable data without manual steps.

Most kits already include a barcode that serves as the test serial number. With the built-in barcode scanner in the Seguro app, health testing companies can link each kit to its tag, then use our API to seamlessly merge temperature data into the test result workflow.

And while it's not the most high-tech feature, customers appreciate the sticky back of the Seguro 150. Labs have told us one of their biggest issues is customers forgetting to return key components. The simple fix? Stick the tag inside the return box—no separate instructions or loose items needed.

For a more seamless customer experience, custom branding is also available, allowing the tag and app interface to match your kit’s packaging and voice — enhancing trust and reinforcing your brand at every touchpoint.

Scale from 1,000 to 100,000 Kits/Month

Our platform is lightweight, API-friendly, and works with your current logistics and lab workflows. No apps, no custom hardware—just reliable visibility.
